Here’s another one I’d forgotten about, never posted here.

Bad Taste in Hats

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

I’ve been feeling down lately due to a lack of creativity. I’m never creative enough for myself. I’m posting this rough, 2nd cut of Bad Taste in Hats hoping to persuade myself that sometimes, yes sometimes, I make valiant efforts at starting a project and never completing it.

As I’m at it, the feedburner feed is being deprecated. Yes, it enables people to keep following me while I change sites and blog systems. Heck I could even point tumblr to feedburner. But, those that matter will follow me. Right? This will be the last post to go through the feedburner feed. Get the new feed: http://vlog.iamdooser.org/feed/

flakes

Friday, August 15th, 2008

I just finished watching Flakes a small film from 2007 written in part by Karey Kirkpatrick, who also worked with Douglass Adams on The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005).

I think it deserves more than the 6.5 it earned on IMDb. Flakes is a cereal bar that is overtaken by a man who wants to take it corporate. In the end, love triumphs. Love of what? You’ll have to watch to find out. The music is great, unlike There Will Be Blood (my last film watched, I’d be rolling in my grave if I were Upton Sinclair). If you like the small time, independent feel in your films, watch this film.
